Our 2026 Web Summit Vancouver Experience: Learning, Connecting, and Looking Ahead

Web Summit this year was exactly the kind of energizing, future‑focused experience we hoped for. As a small but growing Workday consulting firm, we came to learn, to connect, and to understand how the next wave of AI innovation is shaping the way people work — and the conversations we had did not disappoint!

Exploring the Future of AI in Work

One of the highlights of our week was the chance to learn from founders, operators, and technologists who are building the next generation of tools designed to make work easier, more intuitive, and more human. Across panels and conversations, a clear theme emerged: AI is here to remove friction, reduce repetitive tasks, and give teams more time for meaningful work.

We especially enjoyed connecting with a Workday AI manager who shared thoughtful insight into how Workday is approaching the future of intelligent automation. With Workday’s recent acquisition of Sana, it’s clear they’re investing heavily in AI‑powered knowledge, learning, and workflow acceleration. Hearing firsthand how these capabilities may evolve in the near future was both exciting and encouraging for the clients we support every day.

Speed Networking, Real Conversations

We also stepped outside our usual Workday bubble and joined a few speed networking sessions — what a great time! The format made it easy to meet people in a casual, low‑pressure environment, and we walked away with new connections across HR tech, AI, and operations communities. It was a reminder that sometimes the best conversations happen when you least expect them.

A Huge Thank You to Women in Tech

We’re incredibly grateful to the Women in Tech community for offering generous ticket discounts and hosting helpful pre‑event sessions. Their guidance on how to navigate Web Summit, plan your schedule, and get the most out of the experience made a real difference. It set the tone for a week that felt welcoming, accessible, and thoughtfully organized.

Our Small Dinner Gathering

One of our favorite moments of the week was hosting a small dinner for fellow Workday and HR tech professionals. Sharing a meal, swapping stories, and building relationships in a relaxed setting was the perfect complement to the energy of the conference. To everyone who joined us — thank you. Your presence and support made the evening extra special!

Looking Ahead

We left Web Summit feeling inspired, informed, and more connected than ever. Events like this remind us why we love the work we do: the people, the ideas, and the shared commitment to building better systems for the teams who rely on them.

We’re excited to continue growing our network, deepening our expertise, and showing up at future events — whether that’s another Web Summit, an HR tech gathering, or a Workday‑focused meetup.

To everyone we met, learned from, or shared a moment with: thank you for being part of our experience. We’re looking forward to what comes next.
